Cheese & Onion Rolls
The secret to the best cheese rolls? A sachet of onion soup and EasiYo Greek Style Yogurt! Delicious on their own or served alongside your favourite soup.
Ingredients
- 32g sachet onion soup mix
- ¾ cups (175ml) of milk
- 125g cheddar cheese, grated
- 2 Tbsp parmesan cheese, grated
- ⅓ cup (80ml) EasiYo Greek Style Natural Yogurt
- Black pepper
- 12-14 slices of toast bread
- 4 Tbsp butter, melted
Method
- To make the cheese roll filling, whisk together the onion soup & milk in a saucepan.
- Heat gently, constantly stirring until thickened & boiling.
- Stir in the cheddar cheese and parmesan cheese and season with pepper. Set aside to cool
- When cool, stir in the yogurt.
- Preheat the oven to 200°C.
- Trim the side crusts off the bread
- Spread 2 Tbsp of the filling mixture onto the bread and roll tightly. Repeat.
- Brush rolled bread with melted butter and place on a lined baking tray.
- Cook rolls for 10 minutes or until gold and crisp and just beginning to ooze out the end.
- Serve immediately on their own or alongside our Creamy tomato and capsicum soup.
